21 painting probes specific for the 21 different mouse chromosomes, labeled with different fluorochromes. The excitation/emission spectra of the fluorochromes are compatible to FITC, Spectrum Orange™, TexasRed®, DEAC (Diethylamino-coumarin) and Cy5®. A counterstain has to be applied using DAPI (DAPI-Antifade). A kit with a volume of 60µl allows for 5 hybridizations using a coverslip of the size 24mmx24mm and 8 hybridizations using a coverslip of the size 18mmx18mm, respectively.
