Description: The monoclonal antibody recognizes human IREM-1 (Immune receptor expressed by myeloid cell 1). IREM-1 is also a member of of the CD300 family specifically referred to as CD300f. IREM-1 is a type I transmembrane protein with a single Ig domain, one predicted N-linked glycosylation site and a long cytoplasmic tail which contains a predicted ITIM domain categorizing it as an inhibitory receptor. Additionally the cytoplasmic domain has been shown to interact with SHP-1 and the p85α subunit of PI3K. Expression is restricted to myeloid cells. In peripheral blood IREM-1 is found on monocytes and granulocytes. In monocyte derived dendritic cells, expression of IREM-1 is downregulated.
